Cricket is an ideal mount for any level rider. She would excel with a confident, enthusiastic young rider eager to win in the new Pony Jumper Division.Cricket has excellent confirmation. She is related to our my brothers' first pony jumper - Trooper - through her Arabian grandsire - Salim. Salim is well known in the Niagara region for having sired a number of champion pony hunters.
Cricket learns quickly and easy to work around. She knows some lateral dressage movements. She has impeccable manners and tremendous stamina. Cricket can roll back and take inside turns as well as any Grand Prix mount. She is extemely agile and loves to go for speed, but is always careful to leave up the rails. Cricket has jumped a 4'6" wall with ease - you could not even see her from the other side!
Cricket has won virtually every pony jumper class she has ever entered. She has won handily against horses too! Cricket has also shown successfully in the hunter ring on the Trillium and A-Circuits, as well as hack, equitation and medal classes - although she seems to prefer the challenge and action in the jumper ring.
Cricket is an all around fun pony to take on hacks, jump, and show! She is presently helping me teach some of my younger students how to ride and is displaying her unending patience.
